Paper Blooms "It's a Flower, but it's not" Challenge

Here is what I came up with for Paper Blooms Challenge. I don't have any of beautiful crocheted flowers/butterflies that she sells on Etsy..yet, so I used prima flowers, ribbon and stickles for the butterflies. Thanks for looking!!!

Chicken/Roosters (PaperBlooms Home Decor Challenge)

I finally made a few things this weekend!!! It's just a little gift set for my Mom and Stepdad (No looking Mom!). I used Animal Kingdom for all the chicken/roosters.

For the candle...I stamped chicken images on tissue paper...placed it around the candle with wax paper..then used my heating gun to melt the stamped tissue paper onto the candle.

I finally used my BIA to make this notebook. I made the bookmarkers using the Animal Kingdom cart. I thought the bookmarkers where too flimsy so I added a layer on the back and then laminated them. I also made a couple post-it note holders. I need to buy some pens for them. The ones that are in the pen/pencil slots don't match, but that is all that I have available right now.

The chicken/rooster bag is computer generated. Several years ago I bought 3M Printscape Personalized Gift Bag Kit. I bought it at Big Lots for $2.00. It came with a everything you need to create 5 gift bags...the paper for the bags(close to cardstock thickness), string for the handles, double sided tape, and the computer program to design a personalized gift bag. I finally decided to pull it out and use it. I might have to make a cricut file for this size bag. The size of the completed bag is 3 3/4L x 3 3/4W x 7H. I can't believe that I have had this and haven't used it sooner....oh well.

This last pic. is just everything together.

If you have any questions let me know! P.S.......I LOVE COMMENTS!!!!!! Thanks for looking and/or commenting!!!

I am a SLACKER!!!!!

How horrible....I started this blog and I haven't really made anything to post because I have been on vacation (from work) this week and I have been doing a ton of shopping :), and a little of swimming in my pool. I am working on something, but it's just not finished. In the meantime...here are a couple pics of my furbabies for you to look at.
My cats name is Munchkin..she is 17 1/2 yrs. old..well young. She was a stray cat that I fed from the time she was a kitten, and I decided to take her in when she was about 1 yr. old..because DH and I were moving and I didn't want anything to happen to her.
The 1st dogs pic. is my dog Shep...who is such a mommies boy. He is 4 yrs. old. DH and I got him from the shelter when he was just a puppy.
The 2nd dogs pic. is my dog Shyla...who is definately a daddy's girl. She is 4 yrs. old. She came from a shelter also. She was a stray that was found and picked up. She was approx. 4-5 months of age when we got her. She is about 1 month younger then Shep.
Hope you enjoy the pics., and thanks for stopping by!!!!

ACY cards

I finally found some time to make a couple of cards :) I used ACY cart on both cards, and used the Jasmine card for the corners. For the 1st card I used scor-pal and scored 2 lines on the far right because it looked to blah in that corner. For the 2nd card I used a paper punch I bought at Michael's for $4.00 (It was sold as a As Is because the person who returned it said it would not cut through paper...so I bought it and sharpend it with aluminum foil and wax paper...good deal for me!!!), and I put some gold colored dye skittles in the corners and 1 next to the bird. If you have any questions just ask away. TFL (Friendly comments are welcomed)

Ron's Jeep

I haven't had time this weekend to make anything, but on Friday DH asked me to make him "WRANGLER" for his jeep window using vinyl. About 2 months ago I made him "Mudd'n" out of vinyl, but he got tired of that (he decided that he didn't like it anymore), and took it off and decided he wanted "WRANGLER" instead. I used Wall Pops that I bought from Lowes. I know that it's not outdoor vinyl, but the "MUDD'N" held-up really well and that was the same vinyl that I used. I used my Cricut (of course) to cut the vinyl along with the Plantin Schoolbook cart for the letters, which are cut at 3 in. height. The only tricky part was I had to use two of the 12x24 mats and cut WRAN on one mat and GLER on the other mat an line them up together. DH is quite happy now!!!
